Magneffect Nail Polish

One of the most recent things I have been in aw over is magnetic nail polish.  The other day at work one of my coworkers was telling me how she got her daughter magnetic nail polish for Christmas.  I didn't even know what to think.  She explained to me that it was nail polish with little metal shavings in it.  You paint it on, hold a magnet that is normally in the cap of the nail polish above the nail without touching it for about 5 seconds.  When the magnet is held over the nail it makes different designs (they offer lines and stars mostly).  Attached I put up pictures of the lilac color and the black color that I used on myself.

The two colors I have are from a company called Layla, the line is called Magneffect.  It comes in a bunch of colors.  You can find it on eBay for about $15.50 per bottle with free shipping, or the same price through zappos.com, and many other drug stores online.  Sephora also offers a magnetic nail polish line called Nails Inc. which is roughly $16.00 per bottle.

I do reccommend any magnetic nailpolish you do use, make sure you have a good basecoat, I am unsure how this polish reacts with the natural nail.

Be sure to check out the video below to get a comparison between the two brands I talked about in the post.  Hopefully it is helpful in making your magnetic nail polish decision :)

If you have any experience with magnetic nail polishes, or if you have questions please comment on this post.
